Definitely go! I went a couple of years ago and it was a great outing. I didn't think there would be that much to do, but it really filled up an entire day for me - there is so much to see and do there.

Its an amazing day out for all of the family, we initially were a bit apprehensive as DD was only 4 months when we went, especially when we had to leave the buggy behind for the bus tour, but the free strollers for the Apollo/saturn V exhibit really helped. I'm trying to persuade SWMBO to go back when we return in 2021, especially if there happens to be a launch

In terms of launches, you might be interested to know you can sign up to alerts via their website. We have a villa and so let our guests know when a launch is coming up which I know they are pleased fo hear about.

Does KSC not close to the public when there's a launch? Or are people just travelling to the area around KSC to watch the launches without actually going into KSC?

We don't book in advance or else we fixed to a certain date and prefer not to drive too far in the August rain. You can sometimes get coupons for a few dollars off in the tourist magazines and flyers you see in hotel receptions.
We love it so much we bought an annual pass last time as we visited twice in same week. It's worth checking the website for the times of talks etc. I can highly recommend going to the meet an astronaut one. This is the free one included in admission rather than lunch with astronaut. |

Apologies for hijacking this thread. It’s my first time in Florida shortly. Wasn’t planning on hiring a car, does anybody have any experience of using Uber or booked a scheduled trip to Kennedy? We’re staying at the Cabana Bay & just trying to understand the best option for getting there.

I'd advise doing the Heroes & Legends exhibit - it is awesome. Try to stand down the bottom at the front. No spoilers - enjoy!
