Tickets valid from first night of stay?

Hi lovely Dibbers

I have a ticketing question please.

Looking to book a split stay summer 2020, offsite for the first 11 days and then on-site for the last 10 days (probably the only way we can afford 3 weeks!). If I try to do this through the Disney direct site it tells me that tickets are valid from the first night of the stay, however, it doesn’t give me the option to not take tickets on the booking and I would want 21 day tickets from when we arrive, not when we arrive on-site – surely this is possible? !?!?

I’d be grateful if anyone can help explain please?

Thank you in advance –

Karen

If you are trying to book with free dining, it will only allow you to start your tickets on the day you check in. This is why most people who do a split stay do Disney first and then a villa second (there are other reasons why though). You could book a room only and then book tickets separately, but you wouldn't be able to get free dining as well.

The only way to get the passes not attached to your stay is to do 2 separate bookings otherwise your passes are "tied" to your Disney stay. You used to be able to pick them up early with prior arrangement, there is/was a limit on how far in advance though. TBH as other poster I would do Disney first, much better use of those early mornings when you are still on UK time.

Thank you both - I'm so sorry for the delayed reply - I've been slack on my Dibbing!

Yes, I have to say, I think you may be right about sticking to the first week at Disney and we would want to dining otherwise on site doesn't make sense - thank you!
