We are going for 3 weeks next March staying in CBR with free quick service. 2 adults and 1 child. We got the $300 gift card and will opt out of mouse keeping so a potential $190 which will give dd $490 in Disney spends. For me and dh we will take £2,000 for us not planning on spending it all but I do tend to go a little crazy in gift shops 😳

I went for 21 nights and spent about $700...There were 5 of us and on the QSDP.
Brought some bits back but not loads. Any spare credits purchased gifts for people. £ of them also went to the void as well.

Last year on dining plan for 15 nights (2 adults, 2 teens) we spent about $800.
None of us are big shoppers so this was made up of tips, additional drinks/wine, a few Ubers and some souvenirs. The $200 gift card was split between the kids. Edited at 03:24 PM. |

We budget about $450 a day for the 4 of us, all adults as the kids are 23 and 21. We’re on the DDP so TS tips are about $150-$200 per day as we have whatever we fancy on the menu. Also we tend to go with friends so usually there are 8 of us at the table so the tip % is higher.
That leaves about $250 a days for any souvenirs and for a blowout at the outlet. The last couple of trips we’ve come home with a fair amount so for this trip we already have 11 out of 21 days worth of money 😁😁

It's only 1 TS meal a day on the DDP, so how are your daily tips so high? For a tip of $150 for 1 meal you're looking at a meal cost of $750 based on a 20% tip I know you say that you eat with friends, but surely you still only tip on your part as you'll get a separate bill so you can pay with your DDP credits. Even if you don't and you split the tip equally, to pay $150 you're looking at a total cost of $1500 for a meal for 8 or $187.50pp on food with a $300 total tip split between 2 parties. Not trying to be funny, just trying to understand why your tips are so high as we've never experienced anything like that.

Sorry I didn’t explain in the post we usually have the deluxe plan so we do tend to eat mainly 2 credit evening meals so it soon add up.

We're not having a separate budget for souvenirs/incidentals, just lumping those and dining all together. We plan to take around £5000 for our 18 day trip ($6500). It seems a lot but it is only $90 per person per day and we plan big breakfasts and table service evening meals, tipping included, so I guess souvenir buying will be pretty limited.

How long is a piece of string ? We have always maintained that if you take it you will spend it! With the poor $/£ rate it is easier to "avoid" spending as the bargains aren't there, in fact last year we actually found stuff that was cheaper back here! As far as souvenirs, again I think it's easier to say No, most of the Disney stuff now, is very generic.
Your budget would really depend on whether you intend going to any of the Malls/outlets? SD
