Urgent booking help please - 2 going on 3

I was always on the understanding that Disney Tickets are based on when they are activated and not when they end?

Has this now changed on the Disney website?

We are looking to book a package (Hotel/tickets/dine) for May next year, and DS will be turning 3 1 week into a 9 night stay.

When going to book via the Disney website, it asks for age on return travel. He will be 3 on return, so am I having to pay GB£ 400 for his tickets?
Please help.

ETA... this is if you go through the Quidco link, and not direct to the website. Direct to the website still states age at time of travel!

If it’s just tickets don’t even mention your 2 year old on Quidco as it doesn’t seem consistent with official Disney policy as posted above.

For a long time it has been age at first park entry on the holiday and probably still is in the USA, but looks like Disney UK has closed that loophole by the sound of your experience.

It's for a package, so hotel and tickets with free dine etc.

Not a loophole though if this is the official line by Disney.

If not booking flights with Disney... make a typo/mistake.

Ah got you. I posted the policy directly from Disney in my last post so it could be Quidco. Can you ask for help on their webpage? It could be a bug. It isn’t a loophole though.

Thank you for the policy confirmation...

Seems to be through the Quidco page.

It seems like as you want the hotel/tickets/dine plan Quidco are directing you to the disneypackages site where it asks for the age on return travel, whereas the disneyworld.disney.go/en_GB/ site asks for the age at the time of travel. It could be to do with the dining plan as it says the following on the Disney site.

Please note, children under 3 are not covered by meal plans.

As you are booking the dining package through the site that Quidco are sending you your 2 year old would get the free dining as you would have to put their age at time of return travel, which would be 3 [but at a cost of around £429 which you will have to pay for their ticket].

If it was me I would put the age at 2 and lose out on the dining as you can buy their food for cheaper than £429. If you don't want to do this on the link that Quidco gave [in case you are breaking their T&Cs which I suppose could stop your cashback] then go through the other link that I have given above and put their age at 2. Even though you are not going through Quidco you will be saving the £429 that you would have to pay for their ticket and I think this would outweigh the cashback.

This is the way that I see it, [don't think I have explained it well though] but I could be wrong.

This is what we did put the age as 2 and kept him off the dining plan - advised by disney agent this would probably be better value - and it was!
