I would not even consider it at half the £6600 price. That is £1650pp and that doesn’t even take into account that your child does not pay APD on the outward flight. My target would be a third of that.

The TC offer is £1050pp

I would be looking to Delta as they own Virgin in any case (or 49% of it with Air France owning a further 31%). There is a very good chance that you will find planes operated with Virgin Atl tails in any case . Of course, you will have to be patient and wait for the 11 month point from your return leg. I think that in your case, patience is a key word.

BA/FinnAir is £550 each.

£4000 less than Virgin. £4000 nervous?

11 April 1920 is just 300 days from today, so the fares have only just been announced. It is likely that they will be the fully flexible fares released first and as such will be expensive. Wait a few days and the cheaper fares should be announced.

Haha, nope! Is that direct? I have Kayak and Skyscanner and I am getting £1000+as cheapest.

Non-direct is definately out of the question.

I priced up BA as £1500 for the dates OP mentioned.

I think OP is looking too soon though and should give it a few weeks more.

Wait a week... the prices are always extortionate if you’re looking at the latest flight! If you check the previous fortnight you’ll find they’re cheaper...

Example:

2 adults MAN-MCO economy:

21st March-4th April £1362 return

28th march-11th April £2966 return

Those flights are all the same time too! I have no idea why I just discovered it last time I was booking flights 😌 edit: these are with VA

I would keep an eye on prices but wait a couple of weeks to gauge which way they are going, they normally start high, but drop.
For example, our time this year for yiur trip next year gas moved down, virgin holidays who have prices for best year are asking very silly money . This will drop in the “sales”

Yes, indirect and covering Easter Sunday/Good Friday.

I know you've said out of the question but £4000 is a lot of money to pay extra just for direct.

Fully agree and wouldnt pay £4000 more, i assume/hope the difference is a lot less when prices level out.

Where are you seeing those prices, I have checked a few places and nothing even close. Are you sure that is not one way?
