Bargain genie+
So we have our hotel and tickets booked through attraction tickets with the dining offer and $250 spending money and now I've just added genie+ to my order for half the price, wasn't sure how many days I was going to pay for out there but at this price I couldn't say no x

The 14 day price is good and available from all ticket sellers and TAs (although Virgin Holidays seem relectant to add it for some reason). Works out around $130 for 14 days, vs $224 buying it daily (advertised at $15pd, but is pretty much $16 when tax is added). The break even is 8-9 days, depending on the exchange rate, so definitely worth adding if you think you'll use it more than that

How have you done this? Just been online to look and can't find anywhere to do this. Have you paid in full for your tickets already? We've not paid any of the balance yet just the deposit.

I rang and asked them to add it to my order, we paid £100 per person for the two weeks, haven't paid anything apart from the deposit yet x

Do we have to add it for the full 14 days to get the offer price?

Yes. Purchasing in advance is full length of ticket only. And the discount is only on the 14 day tickets, it's the normal rate of £10.99 on 7 day tickets.
As Vickie said above, break even point on the offer price is around 9 days so if you'll use less than that, it's better to purchase on the day. Edited at 10:33 PM. |

If your only be going to Disney parks it would work out as good value. We decided that the Lighting Line main attractions we will do 5 mins before the lines closed so by the time we out there be no queues to get out or for the buses.

I looked at it but i still dont see any real worth at AK or maybe Epcot. A few water park days and the fact im there late September i will pay on the day if need be.

Exactly that, most people are unlikely to spend a full 9 days in the park, arguably Epcot and AK don't need Genie+, and then you are unlikely to reach full 9 days at the parks. It's a good marketing strategy to make it look like they are getting Genie+ at a discounted rate, when they would have unlikely used it for 9 days or more anyway.
Genie+ also doesn't seem to work great if the parks are very busy, you'll likely only get a few rides on Genie+, and if the parks aren't busy (September) you probably won't need Genie+ at all. |
