£10,000 from Nestle... they had a competition through the summer (about 10 years ago) where if you entered a code from a bottle of water you could win days out and activities for the school holidays etc. Everyone who entered went in the "Grand prize draw" for £10,000 cash... we won the £10,000...was only hoping for a day at Alton Towers!

All expenses trip to London to see Barbra Streisand in concert. Had seats in the AOL box and complimentary food and champagne. Best prize ever!

I've had two really good wins. About 30 years ago I bought a new Premier Genista drumkit and Paiste cymbals. At the time there was a promotion running where for every £10 you spent on their gear, you had an entry into a prize draw. It was running for three months and each month there were 10 x £100 prizes to spend on Premier and Paiste kit, with an extra £500 and £1000 prizes in the final month. The two star prizes also included a day at the Premier drum factory. Your entries went in each month so you had more chances to win.
I won £100 in the first month, £100 in the second, then in the third month I won the £500 + a day at the Premier factory. That was a lot of money back then, so I was able to buy a complete set of hard cases for my beautiful new drums, two more toms and a splash cymbal. I had a wonderful day at the factory and got my photo in Rhythm magazine. My second great win was a couple of months ago when I won £1000 on the Postcode Lottery. The Premier/Paiste win was quite a bit bigger relatively speaking though!

I won a kids digital camera when I was young and they were exciting.
As an adult, I've won a £500 M&S voucher, and a Nivea competition where I won £1000 and a personal shopper, although the shopper was booked in before the cash so had to pay for it all myself until the cheque arrived lol! |

I used to work for an American firm. There was only 2 of us in the UK, everyone else was either in Memphis ( Head office) or Guangzhou ( process plant). They ran a competition for the college basketball tournament in the US called March madness. You have to predict results from 64 teams, right down to the Final. I knew absolutely nothing about BB and just picked team names i liked the sound off. I won 😂😂, was sent 389$$ . Even our CEO sent me a message as he was so impressed. Especially as they were all huge BB fans .

£600 of John Lewis vouchers in a BA 12 days of Christmas competition around 7 years ago. They initially only sent me £100 of vouchers and when I complained they apologised and sent a further £600.

Another brilliant win, quite a few years ago now was a VIP trip to the Grand Prix and a few amazing laps around the track in this, driven by The Stig. Terrifyingly fast but blooming brilliant.
I have lots of pics of me and The Stig….he’s not very tall!😂 It was an awesome weekend and we really were treated like VIPs. |
