Hats off to those of you doing at the airport - balls of steel! If we were turned away at the airport I'd be gutted and would have a very tearful daughter!

We fly on a Wednesday - does that mean I can get a test booked for the Sunday?

I think you'll find most doing airport testing are going either the day before and staying overnight or even a few days before if they live close. Certainly true for me, Gatwick is actually closer than my nearest Boots that does testing. So will be popping in tomorrow on my lunch break.

Yes, anytime from Sunday onwards for a Wednesday flight is fine.

I think people are popping to the airport if it is convenient, not necessarily leaving it until just before flying. I will be seeing what is available at Stansted Airport as we live nearby.

I used express test in aberdeen very simple was in and out in just over 5 mins, got negative results about an hour later, only issue was no QR code ( as flying with BA and want to use verifly to make it easier) so quick phone all with helpful agent and helped me over the phone to request the QR code and now awaiting it to come thru 😀

Had no choice, daughter on long shifts until Friday so doesn't finish until 8.30, no airport anywhere near us so we are booked at airport day before we fly. I am very nervous and can't get excited until its done 😒
