Epcot Candlelight Procession

Hi all
Can anyone tell me anything about the Epcot Candlelight Procession? I really fancy going to it this December whilst we are visiting but I can’t find any more details on it apart from the minimal details on the Disney world website.
Is it only on selective dates normally?
How busy does it get?
Is it worth buying the candlelight dining experience?

Thanks in advance

It gets mobbed,we've been a couple of times and last time we did the dining package with the Bier Garten which guarantees you seats, people queue the whole afternoon in the standby line for seats. It's a lovely Christmassy thing to watch, you can stand at the back and watch too.

It's a lovely show, but they're only offering a fraction of the dining packages they used to and haven't announced all the narrators yet. Which is why there's gaps on the schedule, it should run every evening and usually has 3 showings per day.

I'm not bothering to book a dining package for it due to the poor selection and high price this year. But if they are at restaurants you would want to eat at, it makes sense to purchase the package since it's not much more and you get guaranteed seating. Assuming you can get one, already seeing complaints of lack of availability on other forums and they only released them today.

Might see you there! Jodi is on my Epcot night.

Although if Neil is confirmed for one of the unscheduled nights, I will change my plans in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your replies guys.
Do you think it will be quieter early December or is it busy all the way through?

It's always pretty busy to see the show, although early December has moderate crowds overall. If you can go midweek, Epcot will be quieter than at the weekend when the locals turn up.

It's always really popular. It will be different this year as they aren't inviting the usual choirs (due to covid).

You can always stand near the theatre and listen, and you'll see a bit of it. But if you want a seat, it's best to do the dining package.

The speculation is that the gaps are waiting for Whoopi Goldberg and Neil Patrick Harris to confirm, as they are the two biggest regulars not yet confirmed. We saw Whoopi in 2011 and she was superb.

Oh, I would absolutely reschedule for Whoopi too. Sorry Jodi.

I was wondering if NPH may not go this year as he normally turns it into a family vacation and may not have wanted to commit while cases were still high due to the kids.
