Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

We will be in London when this is on at the Hard Rock Hotel.
It looks like it is only £5 entry on a couple of the days and I just wondered whether this is worth a visit?
We wouldn't be interested in any of the rides etc so not sure if it is or not.

If you’ve never been then it might be worth a visit but if you want to do any of the activities while there you need to pay and book in advance, like the ice skating, ice sculptures, circus etc..
I have a been a few times when it was free as I lived locally but we stopped a couple of years ago.
I wouldn’t pay to go as it’s stupidly busy and massively expensive for food, drinks and the other stalls and rides but like I say, I’ve been before.

I prefer the huts on South Bank, less busy and I love a hot mulled Rekorderlig in their cosy lounge!

It used to be free for entry but they’ve started to charge for popular days which I think is an absolute rip off.

DD and I went down a couple of years ago for the Tutenkhamun exhibition (fabulous) and we looked forward to WW too - we'd never go back. Prices were ridiculous, there was a better selection of Xmas market type stalls, and far better food along the South Bank. We did enjoy the Cirque Berserk but even that was overpriced.

We used to go every year but gave it up after the year it was cold, expensive, over crowded and full of "big family groups with no manners!"
