My 15 year old put the tree up in her room yesterday! She is banned from doing the rest of the house until after Thanksgiving.

My daughter and 84 yo mum (live together) tested positive for covid on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. Daughter was so fed up she put their tree up then so they had something nice to look at 🙄

Ours will go up the weekend before the first December.
We need to get everything out ready for the elf visiting our daughter on the first 😊

I've always been led to believe that I'm crazy and I put mine up too early - I always have it all up for the 1st December. It is always on the closest weekend too the 1st to give us time to get it out of the loft, have fun putting it up carefully and then tidy up the boxes and hoover the snow dropped everywhere from the tree . This year it will be the 27th!

Reading all your comments, it turns out many of you do it around a similar time! 🙌🙌🙌

When I was little we didnt have the elf but yes, always had the decorations up and ready for the 1st December. Now we have an elf appear too, adding to the fun!

We have sometimes got a little real one if we see a bargain, but nothing would beat that! I didnt realise they sold them. Will keep an eye out. Id put it in the conservatory as some of my decs, inc disney ones are too heavy and /or precious now to risk a real branch drooping and them falling off. Im on a misson now! Thanks 🎄🧑≈🎄

The last weekend in November for us. We get two real trees so I like to be able to go and pick the best ones rather than have to choose from what is left. Plus they are expensive so I want to get my money’s worth! We are away for my husband’s birthday this year though so it might need to be later (or earlier&#128539.

We always put our tree up around the 15th of December and kept it until 12th night but we are gradually getting earlier now we don't have a real tree.
When I was a child it was considered rather common to put your tree up early, (one day I will write a book about the things that were considered common in the leafy suburbs of North London in the latter half of the 20th century).

We used to only put our tree up the week before Christmas as a child as my mum said it was common to put it up earlier. She also would never let us have fairy light in the window as apparently that was common too.😂
