What would you do for carpark and overnight hotel at Heathrow
Hi we are flying out of T3 and arriving back into T5. We need an overnight hotel and carparking for 9 nights.
I am thinking, park at T5, then find our way over to T3 to check in/bag drop, pick up food from M&S (if there is one) then over to the hotel via a shuttle. What would you do. I was thinking of looking for a Premier Inn at T3 or can you recommend another hotel. |

I think parking at T5 is a good idea to avoid stress when you arrive back. We are staying at the PI on Bath Road but there is also the Hilton at T2/3 that is walkable from the terminal. There are lots of hotels all around the airport and the hoppa shuttle claims to serve 34 hotels in the heathrow airport area so I'm sure you would have no difficulties finding one to suit.

I'm flying from T5 and have booked overnight hotel and parking package with Thistle hotel. We plan on using the pods to get from hotel to terminal and back again. Can't comment what it's like yet but will update once we've been.

We flew out of T3 in September. We dropped the car off with Maple Meet & Greet Parking right outside T3 the night before we flew and checked into The Aerotel hotel (around £65 for the night) which is inside T3, so was very convenient for a short walk to the Virgin check-in desk. Maple will drop the car off at T5 if you put it on the booking form.

I've booked a park and stay package at the sofitel on terminal 5.
Wasn't the cheapest, had originally booked the Premier Inn and was going to do long stay car parking but by the time I'd factored in taxi's to and from the terminal, time to do this - I really couldn't be bothered with it and to pay the extra to stay on the terminal, leave my car there, be able to just get of the plane walk back through the terminal and hotel to my car and come home was worth the extra money too me. |

We like to start our holiday in a nice hotel if we are staying over so, for us, recently that has meant the Hilton Terminal 5 - hilton/en/hotels/lhr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds
Nice rooms, nice bar a lovely restaurant and you leave your car in their car park whilst you're away. There's nothing wrong with Premier Inns - we just find them a bit, errrrrm, functional and they don't feel special on what is the start of a hoped-for special two or three weeks. (The Hotel is called "Terminal 5" but it's not actually at Terminal 5. It's actually just outside the M25. We've literally never used the Heathrow Hoppa wherever we've stayed - just feels like a faff. An Uber from this Hilton to the airport is about £10-12, which might actually be less than paying for a family of four to get on the bus thing anyway.) |

I was there a few months back to use the chargers (surreal experience had to go in past security guards who opened the barriers and people were staring at us from the windows, quite disconcerting) and it looked a shadow of its former self with real messy grounds, weeds etc growing all in the car park due to it being used as a quarantine hotel. Also has some awful recent reviews so I sacked off the idea of staying there (it’s ideal for me as it has the chargers). Shame as it was my first choice and I booked it last time. Hopefully it will come back up to scratch.
