Cooper’s Hawk is my first night dinner choice now, after reading your reports!

The Palm and Coopers Hawk both look lovely. I didn’t realise there was a new Cheesecake Factory so I’ll add it to my list.

Our next stop was somewhere we haven’t been to for a while - Outback Steakhouse

Sidney Shrooms

Opinion is divided on the shrooms, I really liked them but P wasn’t so keen, mainly due to the high pepper content of the coating.

Coconut shrimp with Caesar salad

P’s pick and it went down well.

Beef dip sandwich with chicken tortilla soup.

Both nice once I’d given the soup a good stir to get rid of the skin - think it was plated up then put under a hot lamp while everything else was prepared.

Service very good our waitress was very friendly bringing everything it the right order and offered us to go drinks etc

….and here’s the final dinner for this section of the trip, a ride down in the lift to The Palm.

Palm Old Fashioned and a Prosecco

The Palm Meatball

Absolutely bloody lovely

Crab Cake

P enjoyed this too.

Sea Bass

Perfectly cooked, great piece of fish.

8oz filet with 9oz lobster tail (we’d agreed to split the tail but it arrived on P’s plate)

Again two perfectly cooked, very tender, tasty things.

Potato Gratin

The ideal accompaniment to both mains.

We decided to test the chocolate cake and compare it with the ‘71s.

Very little between them, 71 wins by a whisker for the subtle whisky flavour but The Palms was really good too.

Usual exceptional service again tonight and the manager gave me contact details to get our old 837 points transferred across to the Landry’s card. It’s now part of the Landry group but thankfully hasn’t lost any of the quality we’ve been used to over the years.

You can't help laughing at paying $250 a kilo plus tip for a fillet steak.

Great reports Dr J The Palm looks fab.

Used to love the Outback Steakhouse back in the day. Is the bloomin' onion still on the go?

Intrigued by your experiences at Universal v Disney so far. We are staying off-site for the first few days (if the stars align!) so will be interesting to see how they compare given the premium you pay to stay at a Disney resort.

Yeah the blooming onion is alive and well Jon

Currently I feel WDW resorts are overcharging and underdelivering and said as much to the duty manager at the CR when we had a chat about the sad lack of housekeeping.
