I think it's pretty obvious at this point that the ride will never open back up. Zero communication but the ride has been shut down for weeks and fast passes are being canceled as soon as they are made. This is most likely a reaction to this incident bbc/news/uk-england-...shire-48474770 where an almost identical coaster had a very bad injury.

Maybe related though at Disneyland there is a very similar coaster still open. The coaster has completely been removed now, so certainly no chance of a reopening

Yeah I think that was what used to be called Mulholland madness? I remember feeling like I had whiplash afterwards but loved every second!

Considering the complete lack of any news regarding this area, I doubt they will close it any time soon. Dinosaur, Triceratops Spin and the dino digs play area will remain. Sadly Primeval Whirl has now gone.

Personally, I'll miss Primeval Whirl. My family and I had many great times on that ride and it was one of our favourites. Whiplash-wise, it was no worse than Space Mountain.

I feel Indiana Jones isn't really in keeping with the park although, as noted, I'm also not sure the current management cares. They managed to showhorn Pandora into AK after all! Replacing Primeval Whirl with a copy of the Paris IJ ride would be interesting, although I hope they improve the shoulder restraints and make them more padded.
