Driving licence expiry date required by rental company

Hello, is there any minimum expiry date required on driving licence card when renting a car from rental company? Mine will only have 1 month left will that be accepted or should I renew before? Thanks

Expiry date on a D/L has never been an issue for us. Just has to be valid and in date.

i had 3 weeks left on mine a while back, alamo didnt even question it.

as long as its valid for your hire period, it shouldnt matter

And just to add in case you read it on so-called "specialist" Florida car hire web sites. You don't need an International Driving Permit if your D/L is in English nor a DVLA code.

Hopefully my DIBB friend chmurf might be reading this thread to confirm that a French D/L is also OK
