MNSSHP - Good day to visit or not

Hello all,

First time my family and I are going to Disney. We shall be there Aug 10-24th, which I can see includes 3 days where the park closes early due to the MNSSHP. I wasn't planning on going to this party, but I wanted to ask what everyones opinion was about whether these are good days to visit or not?

Is it likely that if we were to get there early for opening, that the park would be a little quieter on these days?

Or, does the park soon fill up, with even more guests than normal, and we'd be better staying away on those days?

Any advise would be much appreciated

Thank you,

Paul

Hello. I’ve heard they are good days to go if you’re not bothered about being kicked out at 6 as most americans etc don’t have the same long flexible tickets as us so wouldn’t waste a day in a park that they can’t stay all day in or park hop, therefore should be quieter in the morning

I can’t comment for August as we went in October 2018 but found that days of a party were really quiet! We went into magic kingdom on Halloween day (which had a party) and it was so quiet that 7 dwarfs mine train was down to 45 mins and Peter Pan was 30 mins! We got loads done, we just left before 4pm when the party guests started to filter in. We went on another day prior to that and again waits were low splash mountain and big thunder 20 mins wait and the smaller rides like little mermaid and dumbo were walk on.
