London - something a bit different

We're heading to London with 3 kids in feb half term and looking for something a bit different to do than all the usual stuff, we've been many times before and would like to do something we haven't already done. a bit vague I know but any ideas

I’ve not done one myself but I saw an advert for the London Stories Picture Quest (ages 8+) and the London Bridges Text Quest (ages 12+) which are both scavenger hunts with clues to solve.

Have you ever hired the Boris bikes? Without knowing all the stuff you’ve done before, hard to suggest something but I know Groupon and Time Out often have good deals. Last time we went, we had a lovely afternoon tea and went to Bubba Gumps both on Groupon. Love going to the theatre, people watching and walking/cycling around one of the many beautiful London parks

Loads of treasure trails in London. We've not done any of them, but have done numerous in other towns and gave always enjoyed them. Even my grumpy teenager doesn't mind joining in and they give you a really different perspective of a town. We've done 2 in our home town (where I've lived for 30 years) and found some really interesting buildings and things we didn't even know where there.

I’ve booked the Coppa club igloo for our next visit . The Houses of Parliament tour is really good and the Churchill rooms.

The Royal Mews Museum? You can see the Queens carriages and meet her horses. Its really good and the tours are very informative with activities for kids. We went a few times when my kids were younger and they loved it.

How about the Hidden London tours from the London Transport Museum? There is also a great Science Afternoon Tea at the Ampersand Hotel
