Live Report: 3wks For 4: Day 3 - Animal Kingdom
I woke up at 3, then 4. Freddie woke at 4 too and couldn't get back to sleep, then Dave woke up soon after. The lure of the pool got me and I had a quiet dip at half four! By half eight we were rolling in to Animal Kingdom and parked in Unicorn 24. Off to Guest Relations where we swapped our voucher for four nice shiny plastic credit card type tickets! Yay! We headed straight for Expedition Everest. AK is not our favourite park and Everest was the main aim of the morning. We got fast passes for return time of 10am, then rode twice straight away after a walk through the queue area. By then our FP time was up so on we went again. When we got to the front a mum and son chickened out of the front row so Freddie and Natasha sat there. They both loved it and said it was much better at the front. We then had a slow stroll around to Dinoland, stopping for a drink and to soak up the atmosphere on the way. Dinosaur was a ten minute wait so on we went! We hadn't done this ride since our first trip and none of us could really remember it, though I knew Natasha hadn't liked it - she was 7 then. Now she is 14 ... And still doesn't like it! After that we were done! It was very humid and sweaty in the park, there were quite a few large groups around and we were all desperate for a swim. So we headed home via Publix! We made ham and salad baguettes with Publix's home style red potato salad - my new favourite thing! And then we swam and chilled by the pool for the rest of the afternoon! We headed out to TGI Fridays for a quick dinner. We had: Me - mango lemonade slushy which was lovely, and Korean steak tacos - spicy and nice Dave - a salmon thing with oranges - looked nice and he liked the healthiness of it Natasha and Freddie - chicken tenders - went down well! We didn't have dessert. With drinks the bill came to $51.51 excluding tip. Back home for an early night - we are all suffering from the early start this morning! Tomorrow: Hollywood Studios |

The villa is in Indian Creek. It's a new area to us - we usually stay in Lake Buena Vista, but we're getting used to it now and finding our way round.

i try to avoid animal kingdom on the first couple of days- as it can be very hot and seems to suck the life out of the kids when they havnt had an opportunity to acclimatise.
your trip report is fab though! |
