Aqua shoes needed for October?

Hiya

I read on here about taking aqua shoes for the water parks as the ground is schorching! Will the floor still be hot in October? We all have them so it's not a case of buying them I'm just thinking about the extra un-necessary weight in the case...every little helps!

Thanks

I like to use them not because the ground is too hot (which I don't think will be a problem in October) more as a barrier to the ground. I've caught too many verrucas in the past and am now a bit ocd about wet feet in communual areas

We've taken shoes for the last 2 years. Been to all the water parks twice...and NEVER bothered with putting the shoes on. In summer the ground does get hot, but there are spays everywhere, and yes I think shoes on slides would be bad news.

Thanks guys for your quick responses, I think I'll save the space and leave them at home!

You can't go down a slide with them on. The attendant will ask you to remove them and hold them against your chest as you slide down.

I have aqua shoes that I am taking to protect my feet. I was under the impression that you can wear them on most slides with the odd exception e.g. summit plummet.

I'm sure when we were last there in 2008 i wore my shoes on most of the rides, i didn't go on things like summet plumet though.
I mainly wear them because sometimes i find the ground a bit rough on my feet, not because the floors are hot.

Think you will be fine in Oct, when we went at this time last year we didnt bother but this June you had to wear them as it was boiling on the ground and really hurt your feet lots.

Yes take them

We wore them last october (which had high temps) at blizzard beach and wore them on the slides without any problems.
