Help with Disney Springs restaurants

Hi,

We are staying at POFQ and have the QSDP. We will try to book breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and dinner at Sana’a.

Do you recommend any sit down restaurants at Disney Springs? Also any that we should book in advance or do most accept walk ups?

Thank you

Jo

Last year we went to Chef Art Smiths, Morimoto Asia and Planet Hollywood. They were all excellent.

I would say zero chance of a walk up at a Chef Art Smiths. We walked up to Morimoto Asia for an early dinner, say 6pm and that was no problem. We made an ADR for Planet Holkywood about fifteen minutes before we walked over. If it takes bookings then I tend to think might as well make one, even if you only do it just before.

Edit: We were paying OOP for all of these meals. As you have a QSDP, you can also consider some of the QS options. Three that always seem to receive high praise are Polite Pig, Deluxe Burger and Blaze Pizza. I haven't been to any, I tried Polite Pig once but it was really really busy.

We did QSDP last year for the first time and ended up cancelling most of our TS meals and regretting some of the ones we did book. I would say with QSDP unless you have places you really want to eat at then I wouldn’t book any other TS meals. There are loads of restaurants that are nice if you are paying OOP or have DDP but for me there are very few places that justify the additional expense of another meal when I have food included.

Another vote from me for Planet Hollywood - me and my dad both loved Guy Fieri's burgers there! I think we booked a table the day before last time, but on my next visit I'm on DDP so have booked lots of ADRs just to be on the safe side.

Thank you all for the replies. I will take a look at the recommendations. We want to be quite relaxed with food but didn’t want to miss out on somewhere by not booking in advance.

DJ the more TS meals you book then it does get closer to being more cost effective to upgrade to DDP. It might not sound a lot but 2QS plus 2 snacks per day is a lot of credits & any that you don't use is "money left on the table"- We reckoned that DS left approx $500 worth of food when he checked out & would have been even more but he bought loads of sweets.
TBH I'd rather spend OOP offsite than give Disney twice the amount

We do have some OOP places we want to visit but we won’t have a car and it’s around $15 to get to them each way (cafe tu iu tango etc) which we need to add to the meal cost. Was thinking Disney springs might be an alternative as we can get the boat or bus across to there.

I need to look at some places on I-drive for ideas of costs for meals.

I don’t believe there’s anywhere you’d be missing out on and if you’re also eating offsite it means spending money on unnecessary meals in my opinion. I think if you’re keen to do a lot of TS meals it may be worth considering upgrading your dining plan.

We really like Art Smiths but would definitely book. Even then you might have to wait to be seated.

We’re staying at POFQ on QSDP as well, we’ve booked ADRs for 2 TSM planet Hollywood and garden grill which we will pay OOP for, I think anymore than that and you really have to look at upgrading also would end up with far too much food, we also have an ADR for BOG breakfast, BOG lunch, restaurantersaurus burgers and sundaes and Pizzafari family dining as these are all on the QSDP.
