Advice please on Coronado Springs and AOA
I wonder if any of you might be able to give me some advice.
We rescheduled our Port Orleans FQ from August 2020 to stay at AOA in May 2021. We have stayed at AOA before in a little mermaid room and really enjoyed the hotel. With the new offer we could stay at Coronado Springs and still save £181 to what we are paying for AOA. Can anyone let me know how big this resort is - from the map it looks like it is round a lake? Is there one bus stop? Also if anyone has stayed at both any pro's or con's. I do understand that we might not even get there still but if we can save any pennies then it might be worth changing the hotel. If i call and rebook AOA we save £300. Thank you

Coronado Springs Resort with the new Gran Destino Tower and associated facilities is a luxury resort in every respect apart from the single mode of transportation which of course is the bus.

We stayed at Coronado 2 years ago - it is a great resort. Nice rooms, beautiful landscaping and buildings, superb main pool.
The resort is big - with the lake in the middle which has a bridge across it - but it has good paths and it doesn't take long to walk around between the main areas. There are 4 bus stops at Coronado. The bus takes a while to go round the resort but not that long to get to the parks. The service is very regular. We were perfectly happy with the buses. Would happily stay there again. We stayed in Casitas 4 which was ideal for the 1st bus stop, the main pool and the check in area. |

We've stayed at both. We really like both and would happily stay at either again The rooms at Coronado are probably bigger than the Little Mermaid rooms. Coronado is a lovely resort and easy to get around with the bridge across the lake. We stayed in Casitas in a preferred room and used the first bus stop. There is less Disney theming at Coronado so which you prefer may depend on if you have young children.

We have stayed at CSR twice but before the tower opened. We really like this resort and didn’t find it too far, the pool area is really nice. In January we visited the resort to look at the tower and it really is beautifull. The views from the top are great.

The rooms are bigger at CSR, 20% or so from memory. They are a step above AOA for sure in terms of amenities, ‘feeling’ and so on. I would definitely choose CSR for such a small price difference (unless you are desperate for the Disney theme of AOA of course).

Stayed at both a few times and Coronado all day long would be our preference.
We enjoyed both but found CS more relaxing, better pool & dining and a bonus in having the gym. Gets busy around 3/4pm due to it being a conference centre but has never once had a negative impact on our stay. AOA is wonderful but do prefer CS.
