Booking DIY

If booking DIY is it better booking the flights first then villa or other way round?

If you see flights that you are prepared to pay for book them then look for a villa. Otherwise most villa owners will take your booking and give a few days either side to allow for flights booked later.

will depend on how fixed your dates will be. Many here will have dates fixed owing to commitments etc, if this is your case then it comes irrelevant.
If your dates are flexible and are looking for best prices then as advice from Bolton just ask for a couple of days flexibility.

I booked my villa last year for 2017, as I knew what I wanted and where for 3 weeks, weren't prepared to wait until next year and be disappointed with villa choices not ticking all of my boxes
and if it's not booked up until day we arrive we can adjust a few days at each end if flights are massively different in price
