Feeling a bit deflated.

Today we should be flying to Miami! I am feeling a little low, like everyone else I love my holidays and look forward to it all year. The children have been fantastic though, just me a little downcast. Awaiting refunds on our tickets still, no refund on the villa deposit.

I am luckier than many of you in that I hadn't got a holiday booked. But I was intending to plan a little week away camping with my daughter that we usually do every year. DH and I went to Edinburgh last year in December and that was such a lovely start to Christmas celebrations that I was hoping to maybe go to Berlin this year, plus I wanted to go somewhere in June or September with DH. I can't look forward to any of these, all events I would get excited about are cancelled. I can't imagine how much worse I would be feeling if I had a big holiday, especially a Florida one cancelled. Its not even as if we can just plan for next year instead as no one really knows what is going to be.

Look on the bright side, vaccine coming and as long as enough agree to have it, we should be getting back to normal not that long after Christmas.

We didn't get our deposit back for the villa claimed on our insurance, our tickets have been extended till the end of December next year so hopefully will get to use them.
