Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon

It seems to get a good write-up in the latest Brits Guide but has anybody been? Is it a good place to sit with a drink and enjoy the entertainment in the evening? I was thinking of having dinner at La Grange one night as well - anybody been there?

It's been a few years since we've been, but yes it is a good place to go for a drink.

The last time we were there, we managed to get a table on the balcony.

It was a great evening, there was a live band and line dancing down stairs. We had a snack meal and a few drinks, but lots of laughs.

I enjoyed the saloon, despite paying upwards of 4 Euros for a pint of Kronenberg.

We ate there on the 15th Feb using the free meal vouchers, the food was really good, it was a buffet with lots of choice. We did not stay for any enterainment the baby was too miserable after all the travelling. But can certainly recommend the food.

The buffet is great, seemed strange however that you had to pay for everything right off including drinks. Ive never had to do that in a place before.

Also for a country bar which from memory a few years ago played nothing but country tunes and had line dancers on the floor in front of the stage. Billy bobs band were a bit of a dissappointment. Played mostly elvis songs and a medley of pop stuff.

When we were in there we grabbed a table by the stage and were suddenly surrounded by a load of French line dancing fans - complete with hats and fancy shirts. They all crowded round us on tables either side of us like we'd taken their spot! Loads of them too - if the local line dancing club go there then the band must be decent - that's my philosophy.

Hi we were paying 6.6 euros for a pint of Amstel in a small village bar in the south of France last year so your Kronenberg was a bargain , we did stop at a bar which was charging 8 Euros
