here we go, how to make myself feel old and fat
From 1992, picked it up in a sale for £250. It was the second one I tried on and I felt like a princess in it. Didn't like my head-dress, it felt too big on my head, but had to wear it because hub's aunt had made it, and I didn't like my hair but was too nice to say so that morning
The front:

and the back:

The necklace was my mum's. I wrapped it in tissue paper and popped it into a bag that dad took home for us the next morning as we were jetting off to Orlando. When I came home she asked where it was... we think she must have thrown the tissue paper away, I felt dreadful!

I still have the dress, but won't look at it because it makes me sad that I'll probably never, ever get back into it!

I still have my wedding ring, but I also lost my engagement ring. Ladies...while sitting in the car waiting to pick your kids up from school, never take off you ring to apply handcream and then forget to put it back on Someone had a good find at the curbside that day, it was never handed in to the local shops, school or police! But I did get to choose a nice new sparkly one worth alot more with the insurance money

Love this thread by the way!

wow guys and gals, you look lovely aaaaaah.

my dress was gold silk, hand made, with a tiara that was also hand made. my shoes were from faith and dyed to match.

It is still upstairs but wouldn't now fit some 11 years and 2 kids later,
I can't post a pic cos my dad passed away 5 weeks later [55 yrs] and I still can't get pics out as too painful

I am getting married in WDW...was going to get a dress at Monsoon, Coast or Debenhams. Love this one:

I need something practical because of the location and what we may do in the evening and the fact that we are having our dinner in Yachtsman Steakhouse, a public restaurant. I was just going to get some proper shoes in Next for the day and then when my feet start to hurt after photos I might get my mum to bring me some jewelled sandals or something

Serious dieting first though...early 2012 is the goal when I'll be buying it! Still ages away...boohoo!

You don't have to be practical just because your marrying abroad, we managed to get mine in a hand luggage sized suitcase with the hoop and shoes and took it on as dh hand luggage. Was a pain everytime secuity wanted to search through all the layers, I kept having to ask if hubby to be could please look the other way, they were very good about it.
