wedding planning advice

Hi everyone, does anyone have any advice regarding a gulf beach wedding, planners , packages etc, the party consists of bride and groom, daughter of bride age 12 , 5 adult guests and 2 children age 5. how quickly can these things be set up, we are going 28th september this year.
is it straight forward and stress free or quite complicated? I expect the whole party will go to a nice restaurant for a meal after the ceremony, but would want a wedding cake, flowers etc... never done anything like this before we want something easy to arrange but simple and beautiful.

Hi Hun,

I am not sure how it would work with a gulf wedding but booked our wedding in March for this November. We are getting married at our hotel's beautiful wedding gazebo and going to have pictures with Randy Chapman at the contemporary and Grand Floridian afterwards. Then we are eating at California Grill at the top of the contemporary to end a magical night .. hopefully Wishes will be on too
Good luck with your plans keep us updated! xx

I've seen a couple of companies online that offer a package, beach set up and notary etc, just wondered if anyonehad ever used one. its not actually my wedding , just looking into some possibilities for my brother and his fiancee.

We booked our beach wedding through Beach Weddings By Joanie. It was really straight forward. We just had to choose vows & the package we wanted, arrange the licence & turn up with the rings.

This was on Cocoa Beach, it was lovely.

gulf beach sounds fab, we did this last year, their is an island ( sandbar ) 40 minutes boat drive from tarpon springs ( 30 minutes north of Clearwater ), we rented 4 boats from here windsongboatrentals/ the drinks were in iced chillers and supplied by the pub next door and the the owner of the boat company is called wendy and is a notary who can marry you and take care of all the paperwork and planning.

The island is just off north Anclote island and it is wonderful ( have a look at our pictures in our album and google earth north Anclote sandbar and it is the 500 x 100 yard bit north of the main island ) the boat company supply drivers or you can drive yourself. The island was deserted and it felt like paradise , surrounded by sea and crystal white sand- after the ceremony we had a great BBQ with shrimp, steak etc and then all guest had a swim, saw some dolphins and plenty of drinks and then headed back to land at about 4pm where we had the reception at the sandpearl Clearwater.

The sand pearl hotel reception was the most expensive part as we had and paid for drinks and 4 course food 23 guests but Jessica who is the restaurant manager was lovely and the food out of this world !

our photographer was a lady who was exceptional - over 1300 pictures here vrvisionphoto/ , stayed with us from 8 am till 9pm and was amazing. She literally was the best and I know we all say that but totally brilliant.

our flowers were simple but gorgeous here gissellesanchez/ local girl from Clearwater

cars from here ambassadorlimotampa/ who again were fab from the limo bus to the 1933 Packard ( gangster style LOL )

If you want to know more about costs and what we paid or any more just drop me a line and as we organised all this ourselves as it was so easy we saved a absolute fortune. Plus we were so glad we organised it as we had full control :-)

Our day started at 7 am and finished at midnight but what a day !simple, stunning and exactly what we would have wanted. I was even lucky enough to have 2 wedding dresses, one for the day , one for the evening ( the prices were too good not to do it ! LOL ) and would suggest this if you are having a day time beach wedding followed by evening meal.

I am sure whatever you decide you will have a great day and enjoy the planning
