Middle weekend onsite. Magic bands question

We are heading out to Florida In November - fortunate that SIL is living in Orlando at the moment so staying with them. As it’s our wedding anniversary the middle weekend we are visiting we are going to treat ourselves and our twins to a couple of nights on site.

We have bought 14 day ultimate tickets already from American attractions and have linked them to MDE app. I know we will be able to book fast passes 60 days out for the 3 days we are onsite. Then the other days when we are staying with SIL we will book at 30 days out.

My question is with regards to magic bands. If We choose them on our hotel booking and then put my sister in laws address in for delivery they will likely be there for when we arrive. Will we be able to use these during our first few days or will the bands not work until the day of our hotel check in.

Also how do I ensure our booking is linked to our MDE app.

They will work. The band's are linked to you MDE account not your actual tickets or hotel stay. These are also linked separately to your account. They will continue to work for any future stays as well.
