Expedia hotel booking refund - how long?

Expedia and hotelsdotcom about 4 days to credit card, ebookers 3 days back to PayPal.

Was really surprised at the speed considering the thousands of refunds they will be processing.

Ebookers automatically refunded a non refundable room which I wasn’t expecting g so top marks to them.

Virgin still haven’t taken the extra amount I paid to move flights, that was two weeks ago!

The flights are booked directly with Aer Lingus so I’m waiting to see if I can get a refund from them. If I can’t and Ireland is still enforcing the no non essential travel to the USA, even if Mr Trump lets us back in, our travel insurance will cover the cost of the flights.
Am going to see what the next few weeks brings - if free dining appears for 2021 I’ll think about booking again but depends on cost as we will have to go in June.

Just a waiting game for me. I’ve been in touch with the villa owner. He told me he’s lost out on thousands £ and was due to go out himself in May but has had to cancel. He said we don’t have to pay the full balance owed until the day before we fly and up until then we can talk it through if the situation doesn’t improve, with a view to changing to 2021. Same with My Florida Holiday Planner who’s sorted the flights, car and park tickets. He’s given us a later date to pay (middle of May). Balance for RPR isn’t due until end of May. So around then we’ll have to stick or twist. Mrs is starting to come round to the idea of 2021 just to take away all the uncertainty.

Having seen that a few people have received their refunds from Expedia I think I’ll try to contact them tomorrow to see what the delay is with mine.
