Well I never had the cancellation email, but BA have refunded me for my flights and hotel.

It seems to me from the people I know that BA are providing a better refund or delayed payment system than virgin.

Update - got BA refund today, but not the deposit...
Which seems odd as they cancelled not us, and said full refund.  Have emailed... any luck with Virgin yet? Correction, they refunded the deposit to my credit card  oopsie!
