So I remade it today. A whole packet of frozen pineapple, one tablespoon of ice cream and glue of pineapple juice. This time I used the nutribullet and it made a HUGE difference! The flavour was a lot stronger and it was silky smooth. Nailed it.

It's not nice creating that kind of temptation while we are stuck at home. Having said that, DD will be shopping for us on Tuesday

I think that’s what we need. Or smaller pineapple chunks. Our blender is really not coping with Sainsbury’s frozen pineapple. Today’s was more like a sorbet.

Tried it this evening... finally!
Put too much juice in but tastes amazing. Nutribullet was perfect for blending

I bought a tin of sliced pineapple and froze that, so my blender could cope ,that worked fine

Has anyone tried doing this with a hand held stick blender? And/or fresh pineapple? Really want give it a go but worried our little blender just won't be up to the job. Perhaps if I cut the pineapple up more before hand?

We did it with a hand blender but ours has a small bowl you attach the handle to as well as stick one. It took a bit of doing. Next time we are going to cut the pineapple really small and blend first then add other ingredients to make it smooth as we had a few bits still. But it was so nice and tasted the same. Not sure if hand blender alone would do it.

Feel that I have to give it a try! Have remembered that I have a mini hand blender too so could do the pineapple in that (blades are bigger than stick one) then transfer to a bigger bowl to add the ice cream and juice. Worst that can happen is it has to be eaten in a bowl with a spoon and looks messy. Sure it will taste fab whatever! 😋
