Mobile Has anyone replaced their staircase/banister with glass?

Apologies in advance as I'm not really too sure what to call it (seems there are many different names online).
We currently have wooden spindles and handrail but are considering replacing them with glass panels with wooden posts between each panel.
Has anyone had this done? Are you pleased with the end result? Any negatives?
If you have photos to share (especially before and after) that would be fantastic!
Thanks in advance 🙂

There are definitely people on here who have done that as I’ve seen some pics. Can’t remember usernames unfortunately.

We did the balustrade (think that’s the name of it) last year and are delighted. It’s really brightened the hall up.

I remember a thread about this and there were definitely photos posted on it.
The ones who had it done looked really nice.
Hopefully someone might post a link to the thread,so you can look through it as there was some good advice.

I gave all the advice and the companies to use to buy the gear from to Saratoska.

She posted the finished product. May be worth looking for her posts.

Not a hard job to do for a Tradesman, just under a day, maybe less if no dog legs in the stairs.
The most important part is getting the angles for the glass right as 1 degree out and it will look dire.

No advice but they do look nice when complete. My negative which would stop me having them is with having kids and dogs and mainly my hubby is the cleaning haha
