With the reports of the study coming out of South Korea that you can not get civod-29 twice, the previous reports of people catching again have been re-assessed as false positives in re-testing. So the herd immunity appears to have been the right way to go and all these measures will be for a short while, not long term.

Well as far as I am concerned you can get it more than once.
A local doctor had it and tested positive then after three weeks went back to work testing negative. A week later he felt ill again and tested positive. I was ill a month ago with all the symptoms which lasted three weeks and about 10 days ago I was feeling much better. Early last week I couldn’t breathe again and they think it is the virus and I am on steroids and inhalers. Waiting for confirmation. |

Like with other viruses there will be those who develop immunity and those who can catch it again. Chicken pox is like that.

Yes and there will be initial temporary immunity. There has to be or we wouldn't survive the virus. We get it and hopefully fight it off with the minimal of fuss. We then have an adapted immune response. It's just how long it lasts.
If it behaves like the other, less lethal CV like the cold, we won't develop long term (>12 months) immunity, or it'll slowly mutate off and hopefully become less lethal. Either way we keep getting colds every winter. SARS was a bit different as immunity lasted a couple of years. We really need to know for sure one way or the other. |

I’m hoping that if you can get it again that it would at least be a milder case 🤞🏼

The question is were those actually clear in the first place as the results from South Korea have now stated the second test results where at fault.
