We are due to fly on 4 September so I used what’s app to get in touch with Virgin. They told me that they are still planning to operate from Glasgow but that they would let us know 4 weeks before we are due to depart which doesn’t allow for much planning time, especially if our villa is due to be paid soon 🤷

That's ridiculous! No way can they leave it that late.

That’s what I think too, I get the feeling they are going to pull the plug on Glasgow despite what they say

I wondered this but to be honest I don't know how they would manage. I'm booked for now Heathrow flights but they're happy to move me onto Glasgow if/when a return flight becomes available (she said they're all suspended on their systems atm probably due to plane changes needing to be made), so I've been stalking expert flyer and the planes are busy. Maybe they'd like to try and condense it when they see how many folk want to rearrange but other than that its a lot of money for them to lose. I'm hoping they're just sorting their biggest airports first and then going to do Gla and Belfast?

We are booked to go from Glasgow as well at the very end of August
Also tried to do a dummy booking and comes up the flight doesn't exist any more! Also still says 747 on my booking, we had paid for bubble seats.
Hope we get some clarification soon!

My dummy booking has this same message too, we fly 20th September - 8th October. Keeping everything crossed it goes ahead.

I have a booking with Virgin flying from
Glasgow on 7th Nov 2020 and it’s showing as a A330-200 and when I contacted them on Twitter the response I received was that it was going ahead as planned 🤷
