1 day in Miami

Hi Folks,

I have a bit of a query im sure you lot can help me out with

We are doing a cruise with NCL out of Miami and when we get back in, our flight isnt until 17:10.

This gives us about 6 hours to fill in in Miami. Question is... what to do? we will have our luggage and everything so nothing too much.

Where would be good for some lunch and maybe something to do for a couple hours in the afternoon?

Have you spoke to Norwegian because on some cruises i have been on they will align your disembarkation with your flight. So you may be able to leave your baggage on the boat making it easier for you to get about.

Failing that I think it will be pretty difficult as Miami is huge and the distances between areas is huge too. Whatever happens have a fantastic trip.

I would say ( if you can get your luggage taken care of) take a taxi to South Beach, have lunch and view the Art Deco on Ocean Drive

Thanks rof that. I never knew we could leave our luggage onboard. i will give Norwegian a call and see if this is possible.

South beach looks fantastic so we will probably end up going there :

We did a cruise with Carnival in February, they arranged excursions for each of the ports on the trip, but also for the guests, like yourself with late flights, there was the option of a trip to the Everglades. I am sure that NCL will do something similar.

If you can get to South Beach a stroll along the boardwalk and a cocktail on the beach. Miami is a great place to people watch, some amazing characters around !

On previous cruises the company have booked us in to a hotel for the day until time for the airport.

We are doing a Celebrity Cruise and which ends in Miami and they have quite a few trips available for disembarking passengers, such as Everglades and bus tours.
