The difference for SSR and OKW for us is the bed set up.

At OKW, you get 2 queen beds but at SSR you get a queen bed and double sofa bed.

If there's just the 2 of you, it's quite nice to have the sofa for lounging on.

Thanks everyone - decided to stick with SSR for this trip. I saw that OKW rooms are due a refurb starting later this year, so decided to leave OKW until after that's finished.

Thanks for all the opinions - really appreciated!

SSR rooms will be coming up for refurbishment, maybe 2019 when OKW finished.

A well needed refurb in my opinion.

For us the rooms at OKW feel more dated and worn which is why we prefer SSR.

It's all down to personal preference.

The Studios are bigger at OKW, but the location of SSR for a walk to Disney Springs is hard to beat, especially if you stay in Congress Park and pay a little extra for the points.

We also love the grounds at SSR and feeding the turtles from the bridge spanning the lake.

We often walk along the river between SSR and OKW, just watch out for the golf buggies and cleaning carts... and the odd stray golf ball.

I love the 1-bed room size in OKW and the interior decor but I much prefer SSR as a resort and I love it's proximity to Disney Springs.

Have to agree, though the resort is beautiful the rooms are the worst of the DVC resort's.
