New Commemorative Book: 20 Years of Dreams, Available Soon

My copy arrived last night and it is a good book.
Oversize Hardback (although slightly bendy) with dust cover wrap.
On first glance you might think it is not worth the 50 Euros but on closer inspection the money has been spent of the production in terms of the book has a series of 8 page gatefold pages throughout the book.

Now being in the print and production game i can testify that this process is extremely expensive and adds a huge amount to the final cost of printing, was it worth it?
Not really, the spreads should have huge pictures to make use of space but is used mainly as any other page with text and photos.
Trouble is that the book is in English and French and so layout seems to me cluttered as it is always difficult to layout a multi-lingual book having done a few in English and Welsh.
Don't get me wrong I would still buy it as the content is packed and interesting, maybe being a designer I'm very picky, most people would not even think of these things. If you have ordered you'll enjoy it but it could have been better! 7/10
