Travelex originally developed the policy for Marriott Vacation Club members but then adapted it for DVC as arielrocks shows above (Post #10) for US members.

So back to square one then with the dvc policy only being for US Citizens.

Thanks I'll have a look at this.

It's something that we UK owners need to be mindful of. My friend has 400 points and lost them all due to cancellation from a back injury. Her insurance didn't cover timeshare points/accommodation! Member services weren't interested in the slightest about any offer of goodwill. I would HATE to be in the position so need to get something in place.

i just phoned more than and have been quoted £150 for the yearly family ins, inc end supplier failure and timeshare costs, does this sound ok?

I would just want clear definition of timeshare costs. E.g. Is there a max value as if you wanted to go again you would need £x per point to make that happen.
Also would need to know excess etc.


Price sounds ok though - we used to pay £124 wth barclays for our annual policy.
