Hi
We used yellow scooters one year, no problems with them good service. The next year we used sun mobility. The only reason we switched was because we wanted a four wheeled scooter for my Dad for added stability. He wasn't the best driver . Both company's were great and dropped the scooter off at the villa before we were awake on our first day. They picked up from the villa on our leaving day at the requested time. Would recommend either.

OP. I would ask the Mods to move this to the Special Needs forum. That's the best place for specialist advice. Best of luck

There are many companies in the Orlando area that offer scooter hire. They all offer to drop off at your hotel/villa and collect. A few names come to mind such as Walker, K&M, Buena Vista and the one I used last year, Florida Mobility Rentals. Their rates vary considerably.

All of them have their own websites, allowing you to choose the most suitable scooter. They also give estimates based on the scooter chosen and the duration of hire.

As for suitability of scooter, I needed a larger one and went for a four wheeler but noticed that the three wheelers were easier to negotiate into tight spaces. An overnight charge was plenty for a full day in a theme park. My scooter wasn't new but didn't give any problems.

I paid $260 for 13 days hire. Not bad when you consider that Disney charge $50 a day to hire a scooter!

I always get the 3 wheeler---as you say it manouveres better and lighter to get in and out of the SUV
we went one year and it was about a year after my wife was in a horrific car crash and the insurance company paid for her scooter in the parks--it came to a fortune

I booked yesterday with Florida Mobility Rentals for our trip this Summer, I have used this company before and had no problems.

Like others have said their are lots of scooter rental companies in Florida, hiring from one of these will be much cheaper than hiring on a daily basis from the parks.
