Tell me about Dyspraxia.
We have a member of staff that has Dyspraxia. It's not really my job to be researching this as I'm the Nursery Chef but nobody else has bothered so here I am. Has anyone here got Dyspraxia or have a family member with it. She's been with us for about 3 months now and despite one to one training we don't seem to be moving forward.
Can anyone help me? I understand the information is not going to be generic but any help is better than none. Thanks.

My DS has Dyspraxia (as well as other SEN) I also work with children that have it...
Try dyspraxiafoundation.uk/about-dyspraxia/ for some info Problems faced are with co-ordination, gross & fine motor & processing/memory I have yet to meet someone with just Dyspraxia...it is often part of a bigger picture of additional needs... Hope this helps

My son is 13 and has dyspraxia.
He has poor co-ordination and finds simple things difficult like tucking in his shirt and making his appearance presentable. He still can't tie his shoe laces. Constantly bruising himself and his has poor fine motor skills so writing and things like that are difficult.

Hi, I'm a 50 year old primary teacher. I'm dyspraxic as is my 17 year old daughter. She is currently working hard for A levels predicted 3 A grades. You might find the link above useful. |
