Question ECV/Scooter

Hello lovely Dibbers!

I'm really hoping someone can lend me some expertise... At my biggest I couldn't walk in the parks and hired a park ECV to get around. Then I lost weight and managed to walk them, but now my health has tanked a bit - not to the extent that so many others deal with, but enough that I wouldn't be able to get round much of any of the parks comfortably.

Normally that wouldn't be a problem as it's just DD and myself but this time we're going with high energy friends and I really don't want to hold them back or worry them. Having looked at the cost of daily rental in the parks, I can't help but think it would be better to hire one for most of our holiday there instead and then I'd be able to use it at KSC and on longer shopping trips to the malls as well.

We've booked a standard SUV so I can see that the smaller ECVs would fit in the boot but,

Can anyone tell me which is the easiest/lightest model to dismantle and lift into the boot?

Thank you so much for all your help!

I hired a Phoenix 4 wheel scooter from Florida Mobility for my mom in 2015. She hadn't used a scooter before and this was recommended for her.

It came apart and fitted into the Hyundai Santa Fe we had hired to drive.

We tended to leave the scooter in the boot and just removed the battery to charge up every night in the villa.

From memory the separate parts weren't that heavy, both me and my Dad (who was 70) managed between us.

Hope this helps

Thank you - that's great info - and a good price! Much appreciated.

A lot of the ECV hire companies use the GoGo elite 4. Breaks down easily and fits into the boot of a sante fe. That's what we had on holiday last. Heaviest part is the drive wheels at the back.

Thank you for this - I was going to book one a GoGo Sport 3 but my DD said that knowing how accident prone I can be that perhaps I should go for a 4 She said she had visions of me rolling over "Only Fools and Horses" style in the middle of MK
