Thanks for replies guys.
Seems Naples is the place but can i ask what you all prefer about it?

We found 2 villas we really like but the Naples one is £450 more. Is staying there worth paying that much extra?

Hi

I havnt done fort Myers so can't comment on that but we did do Naples last June and it was amazing. We had a villa which was ridiculously expensive compared to Orlando (£2400) for two weeks!

I would def go back to Naples in a heartbeat but would stay either at inn on fifth or bellasera. The villa communities are about 10 miles out and it was a pain to have to take the car as it meant hubby couldn't have a drink with dinner. Taxis were v v expensive... $90 round trip plus tip so we didn't bother.

Standing on Naples pier watching dolphins swim right in was just breath taking and the sunset is like no other I have seen anywhere else.

We flew in and out of Miami and it's a straight drive across alligator alley and really easy to get to.

Sally

Very relaxing, nice beaches, good shops. Malls, boat trips, bowling, Cheesecake Factory etc. We stayed at Bellasara and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, location and apartments fantastic

We stayed in Fort Myers Beach last year and are going back this year. We really liked it, beach is lovely, a mall nearby, mini golf loads of bars and restaurants and a couple of nature reserves, it was lovely

Naples wins for me over Fort Myers - but we have taken to staying on Marco in a house on the canals now as we love to be able to bike to the beach and its still near enough to the evrglades etc for a day out.
