KSC - Rocket Launch - Viewing Areas

Hi I a visiting kennedy space center today and hopen to see todays rocket launch but havent pre booked my tickets for the launch.


If i am unable to get tickets are there any recommended viewing areas I could go to?

Yeah, these things tend to get postponed so we figured that at least we would have had an afternoon at the beach if it does, we thought about going to KSC but we done it last year so nothing new to see there.

See you on the beach! And fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled (the weathers not great this morning )

There are better / closer places than Cocoa Beach, but it is my favourite. It is a good day out, regardless of what happens to the rocket! there are plenty of shops, bars, etc. Try to find the Holiday Inn (once used by astronauts families) and the Pier. Its a great spot for a launch.

Thanks for this guys we set off for our first trip to Florida two weeks today had no idea til I saw this post that any rockets still went up anyway .So although have planned to within an inch of our lives with a bit of tweaking will fit it in probably to Cocoa beach. Thanks soooo much

There is a biggie planned for 20th May if that is any good to you? Its a great thing to see, and a trip to the beach isnt a bad idea during any holiday

Kennedy Space Center is a great place as well (if you / family are interested)

We like watching from the tiki bar at the end of the wooden pier at Cocoa - last time we were there we were sat with some employees of the company sponsoring the launch who had a live feed to their phones from the launch site - they had been sent there to watch it too!

We also figured cocoa beach is a good bet just incase it's not on so we can spend the day at the beach
