We have stayed standard twice and not had a view of the animals. It's the luck of the draw as with anything if you want it then pay for it.
That said there are so many look outs that we have never minded not having the view from our room. |

We would only go for a savannah view. Most of the standard rooms are pool or car park, and there are no partial Sunset views. There is something special about seeing the animals from your balcony which imo isn't matched by the public viewing areas.
