So it’s my husbands 40th next year when we go and he loves the Dodge Challenger. We already have an SUV booked with our package as it’s us and our 2 kids. I’m thinking of hiring a dodge for 2 days and perhaps drive across to Clearwater for the day. We are staying at Cabana Bay and there is an Avis rental desk there so thought we could enquire there. Has anyone done anything like this before? Is it cheaper to book it there or beforehand from here? Thank you.

The hotel locations don't usually carry many vehicles... Tend to have the vehicles required for rentals that are due to take place that day and maybe one or two extras and returns.

Also, if your current rental is with Avis, the second vehicle will need to be in a different persons name (One driver can't be named as lead driver on two vehicles at the same time).

The Dodge Challenger category is an expensive one... Just taken a look for this year and its £209 a day with Alamo at the moment but thats only available from the airport. Not sure what a walk up price would be.

Thank you. Our booking with Virgin is with Alamo. I think there is an option if we were to rebook with Alamo that can be picked up from international drive so I think I might book it beforehand. Yes I know it’s going to be expensive so he can have it for his birthday!
