All stand alone hires can be booked through VA and VH albeit VA is easier and the Points track quicker. Actually VH service the contract for VA anyhow.
Both fully Insured. The Fly Drives are criminal ref Insurance costs.

Just to add, we have booked car hire many times through Virgin Holidays. My understating being that you can cancel at any time up to 72 hours prior without penalty.

Cancelled one booking last year, refunded no problem.

Just cancelled this July's booking with them which I part paid with miles. They tried to say that the miles were non-refundable but luckily I had asked the question prior to booking on Facebook Messenger so had proof that I could cancel my booking with 'zero penalty'... not sure what their actual T&Cs state on this...

I am considering booking with them again for a possible Dec 2021 trip as their prices are miles lower than any others I can find at the moment.

I was quoted £1200 for Alamo for a RAV 4. Went through virgin and got it for just under £700.

Our 17th May Virgin flights have just been cancelled booked direct with VA, car hire was through Virgin Holidays. They automatically sent us an email cancelling car hire and should be sending a full refund by 9th May (fingers crossed). I didn't even have to prompt them first, very impressed.
