Extra person in the car hire ?

Hi all

We are a party of 4 that’s was going last year and we rebooked to this year late aug (fingers crossed) and all fully paid up with a BA FLY DRIVE... we now have an additional person coming with us that’s just purchased a plane ticket in the same flight... can she hop in the car with us ? Is she going to be insured ? Do I need to add her ? Not sure what to do ? Anyone else done this before ? Thanks all 🤗

You hire a car for a driver. Not for the passengers. As long as you aren’t overloading the car and everyone has a seat belt you can take who ever you want as a passenger.

Depending on your initial car size, you might want to think about upgrading to something larger.

Also, you need to think carefully about the amount of luggage you can get in a car.

When you say "Is she insured" do you mean to enable her to drive? If so, then suggest you check if you car rental allows additional drivers included in the T&C's if it does then you just add her details to the rental(make sure she takes her DL with her). If it doesn't include extra drivers then you will need to find put how much it would cost to add her.
