We got a good deal on Crowne Plaza with parking on HolidayExtras and they’ve moved it for us three times without any issues. The premier inns and travelodge are a little bit further away. I think it took us about 20-25 mins from there with traffic last time I stayed at the Premier Inn.

I've stayed at the Radisson and the Clayton and both were great. Radisson is actually connected to the terminals so you can walk and the rooms are really lovely. There's also a pool, sauna and steam room. A real treat of a stay!
Clayton and most of the other hotels have a free shuttle to the terminals that you can book on check in. ETA that there are some great cashback deals to be had on Holiday Extras for parking/hotels. |

Stayed at both HI Express and PI on Runger Lane and both were clean, quiet and good value. HI Express does a free breakfast which may make it better value for you overall, both hotels charge £10 (I think) for overnight parking, they are basically across a car park from each other. They also have a shuttle you can book onto if you are parking offsite though if you need three rooms getting a mini-bus taxi for everyone may be quicker and cheaper.

We have varied our depending on flight time
An early flight we book the Premier Inn Rungar Lane and have breakfast at the airport A later flight we book Heald Green and eat there ( usually the meal deal with dinner the evening before ) I dont think you can go wrong with either of those to be honest We have never paid more than £50 per room per night |
