Aug 21 Tickets, Reservations and Express Pass

Sorry for the duplication. I posted this within another thread but actually think this is the best place to come for advice.

I'm just trying to clarify when and what I should be booking for August 21 (hopefully!)

I'll Probably be visiting these parks:

Busch
Seaworld
Universal Studios
IOA
Volcano Bay

Maybe:

Aquatica
Discovery Cove
A Disney special event if they happen

I had intended to buy my tickets from from a UK seller like ATD. The tickets would usually arrive a couple of weeks before we leave for US. Usually that would be it, I'd just turn up at parks and the fun begins. We'll have Universal fast passes from HRH and would usually pick up other parks fast passes at gate.

BUT things have changed now. Here's the questions:

- Am I right that I'm going to have to reserve a place at each park for each day I intend to go?
- Should I therefore book multiple days at each park to give me flexibility? I assume I can just not turn up?
- There's no cost for reserving?
- How can I book now if I don't actually have a ticket? Will I have to leave it until my tickets arrive? In which case isn't that a bit late?
- Will Universal express pass queues still be in operation?

In short...what will/would you be doing about your August tickets/fast passes? Am I missing something key?

You don’t have to reserve for universal it’s first come first served. Yes express pass lines Are still in operation. Sea world and Busch you need to reserve but I don’t know much about that, but universal has no reservations.

I’m interested in this too - we’d booked for May but have now pushed it back to July / we’ve booked DC tickets through ATD which include SW - we want to reserve days at SW but slightly worried that if we use the ticket numbers to reserve the days then we won’t qualify for refund if travel isn’t possible. I need to call and check with them but does anyone already know the answer?

Hi MM...I've just posted this on the Aug 21 thread to:

Just contacted Orlando Attraction Tickets (I assume similar for ATD). Seems that you are covered for cancellation/FCO advice but not for anything else, like wanting to cancel if 'Amber' or USA has unreasonable severe entry requirements e.g. 1 weeks quarantine or only if vaccinated. They would however allow you to move the tickets to 2022 for £25 and the price difference.

Sounds reasonable I suppose, but not entirely risk free (what if we can't go in 2022?). Would have been nice to have a totally open ended free cancellation though like there is for our accommodation.

Update - Just chatted to them again. So I get tickets in 7-10 days of paying in full so could go reserve parks then. Also, even if the tickets have been used to reserve parks they can still be moved to 2022 (or cancelled for refund if against FCO advice).
