We stopped there en-route to Heathrow from West Wales the day before our flight. Followed the sat nav, had some food, done a bit of shopping and went on ignorantly on our way.
Came home from holiday to find the notice of intended prosecution on the door mat. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
Why won't you be going back it's not their fault you can't follow traffic signs.

Maybe drive more carefully next time

We’ve been caught there too. And yes we got fined. Googled it and it’s a well known money trap.

LOL, your not the camera operator by chance. Read the reviews on Trip Advisor then comment.
Also take a look on Streetview, you see the car park, you see the totem pole, you drive under caution passing the pedestrian crossing to the entrance, and your Sat nav tells you to turn left on to the bus lane (believe this has been corrected now).
The Traffic Signs Manual supplemented by Traffic Signs and General Directions are quite explicit in the way they both prescribe, position and use signs. When used correctly, there usually aren’t many problems but sign clutter can result particularly when mixed with off highway private signage and roadside features. Swindon Council I believe have committed to reviewing the issue but why remove a cash cow.

Yes we lived in Swindon 4 years and know this area well.

Yes DH drove down it once in error when we first moved there... and yes he got a fine. Sorry probably not what you wanted to hear!
