What Would You Do?

Today I sold for the first time something I made. I made a dementia fiddle mat and sold it to someone in the same village as me via facebook. I delivered it to her (had advertised I would), when I arrived she opened the door, grabbed the item and thrust an envelope at me and shut the door without a work. OK I thought, covid and all that. But when I got home and checked the envelope it has £10 in - the item was advertised as £20, then reduced to £15.
Should I just right it off or say something, and if so how? I hate confrontation like this - I was so happy to have sold something, and now this.

I would message her saying that the agreed price was £15 yet there was only £10 in the envelope. It was very rude of her to not even say thank you!

I agree, really very rude. I'd invoice her for the outstanding £5.

I agree with Mary, I'd do that, message her.
And yes, it was very rude!
(Just a thought - It wasn't the person you sold it to that has the dementia was it? Still, it was rude. )

No she was young - with a note on her door explaining why she was leaving her buggy in the stair well. I'd say 30's

Well, VERY rude, no doubt at all then. Cheeky mare. And what a shame too that it has spoilt your happiness at selling something xx

I think someone who's that blatantly rude and clearly has intentionally underpaid you, will argue about how much money was in the envelope, that's why I'd just send an invoice for outstanding balance rather than enter into a conversation with her.

I would message her, but I wouldn’t hold any hope of getting the remainder now. That’s so rude to do what she did.
I suppose it’s lessons learned for next time and the hope of a smoother transaction🤞
